Advanced Course


Course Overview

This course prepares a student to write the exam for the Canadian Amateur Radio Advanced Certification. Obtaining this certification allows an amateur radio operator:

  • Access to all frequency bands assigned to the Amateur Radio Service

  • Permission to use 1000 watts of input power

  • Permission to design and build transmitter equipment

The course extends the operator’s technical knowledge. Topics covered include:

  • Advanced Electronic Theory and Components

  • Measurement Tools and Techniques

  • Power Supplies

  • Transmitters and Receivers

  • Antenna Systems
